New Year’s: Be Renewed by Renewing The Mind and The Spaces of Your Life: Inspiring Images for Interior and Personal Renewal

The several months of winter are wonderful times to eliminate clutter and redesign a favorite room or two to bring a sense of true New Year Renewal. So here’s my little project, and some images to inspire.

I have a personal space within a very large room wherein a smaller parameter is petitioned by Asian Screens for the entrance wall. This is where I spend several hours in the very early morning in personal renewal, studying and contemplating every morning. Everything is going to be removed and this space renewed by placing seating cushions on the floor. Pillows against the walls, a long study table a few inches above floor for my notecards in front of the seating pillows. Large sectional pillows placed together 6 inches deep, with a white cover will serve as a free-weights space. A microwave for heating water is placed on the floor. Along the walls are place exquisite Chinese mother-of-pearl panels. Single black book shelves with clear doors also line the wall of the Asian-style floor level contemplation area. Minimalism, organized functionality and simplicity provide the tranquil ambiance.
